Trench Coat

Some say that trench coats are passé. I say I still love mine. What else would fit with all the autumn colors than a beige trench? I know. I have to get rid of this obsession of color beige.

Neglected

This week has been more or less very busy. Now it is time to take it easy at home reading old magazines and cuddling the neglected boyfriend of mine. 

Ps. I noticed that in 2007 mags there were a lot of beige and brown colored outfits. Let me press the "like" button!

Cafe Latte for me, please

Just love love love the colors of this fall! Chocolate, caramel, toffee spiced up with lingonberry red. Yummy, let me say!

Moon

I am not a big fan of science movies but Duncan Jones' 'Moon' was something I got goose bumps from.

It is about a man who has a three-year contract to run a helium-3 (which is the current clean fuel used on Earth) mining outpost in the Moon. No other people around, no direct link to Earth. His only interaction is with a computer called Gerty.

Just two weeks before he is due to leave home things start happen. Something that, I hope, will never be able to happen in reality.

I urge you to watch the movie.

ReUse Republic

I ran into this ecological, innovative and fun project called ReUse Republic today when shopping at Kamppi Mall in Helsinki. The idea is to create something new from the remainder clothes of several brands e.g. Benetton, Armani Jeans and Tommy Hilfiger. 

The cloth racks were quite empty when I got there but was still able to find those lovely rose shorts by Maija Tuohino. They used to be a knit.

Life is how you make of it

My motto is "make people around you feel more at ease". Life should never be too serious. We should be able to laugh at ourselves and try to see the best in people. This not being naive, this is being human.

Why to make things complicated? We are here only for once. The people around us are here only for once. Why not try to keep it simple and fun?

I was one of the lucky winners of a Summer Trends competition organised by Ellit-Plaza (a Finnish web portal of one of the leading magazine publishers Otavamedia) and L'Oréal.

Home is where the cats are

Think it is just a matter of time when we'll buy our own apartment. In the meanwhile we live in a 64m2 apartment near Helsinki city centre.

Best in our home are our two cats. They make home as it is.

Try this at home

After an exhausting day at work and gym there is no better booster than this drink. All you need is slices of mango, vanilla yoghurt and perry juice. Blend and enjoy.
